Chinese Crash Course : Integrated Textbook (Third Edition) 1—8 are specially designed for the beginners to intermediate and advanced Chinese learners. It is centered on the topics, with emphases on intensive Chinese learning as well as listening and speaking practice. Topics are from daily life, interesting and authentic. The lively language reflects the purpose of teaching materials for students, teachers, classroom teaching and skills training.

Yang Huiyuan is a professor at Beijing Language and Culture University. He has such monographs as 81 Training Methods for Listening (published by Modern Press Co., Ltd in 1988), Pedagogy of Listening and Speaking for Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(3rd Edition) (published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press in 2020), and Classroom Teaching Theories and Practice (published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press in 2007). He has authored/co-authored many textbooks and reference books, including Elementary Crash—Course of Chinese Listening, Speed-up Chinese—Integrated Textbook, and Practical English-Chinese Dictionary, and published more than 40 papers. Prof. Yang was ranked as an “Excellent Teacher in Beijing” in 1993 and 1995, an “Excellent Teacher in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language” in 2002, and a “Prominent Teacher in Beijing Colleges and Universities” in 2003.
